Custom Play Structures
Custom designed one-of-a-kind play structures are site specific and designed to fit all kinds of challenging terrain. Our custom designed play structures are made from redwood and come in all shapes and sizes, including castles, pirate ships, western forts, tipis, log cabins, lighthouses, clubhouses and theaters. A custom play structure has one or more 2-story towers, bridges, rock climbing walls, rope ladders, slides, swings, climbing bars, zip lines, firepoles, tunnels and secret escapes. Each one is imaginative, beautiful, and extremely safe and fun to play on.

Castleland

Appropriately named  Castleland by the children, this elegant play structure looks like a magical castle amidst the beautiful gardens.  Cross-over the arched bridge to enjoy lunch at the custom picnic table with curved benches, then spend the afternoon swinging, climbing, sliding or just reading in a quiet corner.

Atherton Castle
Atherton Castle appeared in Architectural Digest and elicited a huge response from readers. The three-color scheme of Ochre, Forest Green and Barn Red of this redwood play structure holds enormous appeal for kids and adults alike. This is the 1st of 5 versions made over the years (see Fort Bethesda & Atherton 5).
Le Petit Chalet with Swings
Le Petit Chalet was designed and built for Rebuilding Together, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of families and children in unfortunate circumstances.  Le Petit Chalet, along with 12 other playhouses (also donated by local architects and builders) were auctioned at the gala event with all proceeds going to Rebuilding Together. The winning bidder had the Bridge-over-Swings added to this wooden play structure prior to delivery.
Castle Fantastico
This ultimate castle play structure was built for 5 kids. The family and Barbara worked together to come up with the design (based on the original Connecticut Castle play structure).
Connecticut Castle
Barbara designed Connecticut Castle not only to please two boys but also to complement the beauty of the client's 1910 English-style stone castle/country home. Tucked in a circle of trees, this luxury play fort is built for the whole family to play on, kids and adults alike.
